There are many reasons people find my blog; the three main types of traffic I get are -

1. People looking to find out how to make their credit or debit card work with Google AdWords.

2. People who are setting up a home office and need some tips on furniture and how to make themselves feel more productive while working from home.

3. My favorite visitors; people who want to make money online and need a little bit of help from someone like me, who has been earning money online for many years now – in fact since I was 14!

This article will teach you how to make money online with zero investment; 5 ways to make money online tonight which will work for almost anyone.

Rest assured – if one of these doesn’t work for you, (and they all work!) simply because you don’t want to do it or refuse to make an effort, then move on to the next money making option! It’s not hard to make money online, you just need to not give up at the drop of a hat.

1. Make Money By Writing

Don’t worry, I am not going to tell you to go out, write a bunch of articles and then submit them to various websites and hope to earn enough money to get paid out. I have done this and it has made me money – but honestly, I don’t like to wait days, weeks or even months to make money – and hey, this list is all about you making money TONIGHT! – not down the line.

2. Make Money By Promoting Content

Admittedly it will take a few hours to set up, but once you’re done it is a GREAT way to make some extra cash. Start off by signing up with CPALead – it is by far the best network around and you don’t need to go through phone verification, which I’ve always found a little awkward. (I’m quite socially awkward.)

Create a simple webpage with an eBook, some images you have rights to, a TV Show or any other kind of file that can be viewed or downloaded. Then put up your gateway and start promoting!

3. Create A WordPress Theme

If you can’t code, simply draw up a nice looking design in Photoshop, GIMP, Illustrator or any other wonderful photo editing/graphic design type program. You will then be able to sell it to a Webmaster who likes it. (Digital Point is great for this as well.)

4. Check Out Minute Workers!

Minute Workers is a popular little website that will allow you to complete small, fast jobs. Visiting a site, clicking a link, signing up as someone’s referral, etc. This is a great one for those of you who live in countries that are not typically accepted in online money making programs as they are fuly international!

5. Sign up at GPTHQ!

Another great website that I can’t get enough of, GPTHQ will pay you a great amount for completing free surveys and trial offers. You don’t need a credit card and they’re very flexible with their payout options. Give them a go – they are by far the Best GPT Site I have ever encountered!

So many people seem to be falling for scams lately, it’s just plain crazy – but that is what happens when someone is so desperate to make money online that they are willing to take risks. I’m here to prevent that.

I should warn you in advance that although this method is a completely real way to make money online for free and work from home either full or part time, that it is just as demanding as a regular job.

What I am talking about is writing for money. Writing articles for money is one of the best ways to get started online. You might not think so, or you might have a whole lot of questions and doubts – I don’t blame you. In the past I’d signed up for a bunch of websites offering to pay me for writing articles – they sucked.

The truth is the only way you are going to make money online for free legitimately is by doing things for yourself – this method isn’t going to cost you anything at all financially, you just have to be willing to invest time and effort.

This is the exact way that I personally started out making money online – at first I was working four hours a day, five days a week, for $600 a month. That isn’t great money but considering I was flat broke at the time it was enough to put food in the fridge and cigarettes in my hands. Of course I also bought a lot of wine, but hey, I’m a writer.

I’m going to answer some questions I’ve been asked over the past few months about how you can make money online by writing articles below.

How much money can I make online by writing articles?

That really depends on how much time you put in. The last month that I was writing full time from home I made $2200 writing for several different clients. You can make more than that of course, but I was still taking time off regularly to work on other projects.

What should I write about to make the most money?

It seems to me that health articles, money articles and insurance articles are worth the most money right now – however I personally made most of my money writing about mobile phones, holiday destinations and articles for adult websites; it really depends on your clients.

Where can I find clients?

This is one of the easiest things to do when you know how – just go and sign up for a webmaster forum such as Digital Point or Answernode (both come up in Google) and go to the Content/Content Creation sections. It is completely free and the best way to make money online.

Should I sign up for writing sites too, like Associated Content or Helium?

I’d say no. It is a waste of time when you could be getting paid instantly for work completed with regular clients.

Writing

If you want to start a new money making venture but have a balance of $0 in your bank account and an empty Paypal, you still have options.

If you can write, you can make money online. Some people work from home full time, some just do freelance writing for some extra cash – something I have made use of many times myself.

Head on over to Answernode Webmaster Forums and post a notice in the content or content creation sections of the forum – it helps if you include your prices.

You can easily make $30 in three or four hours, or more if you can write well and at a reasonable speed – which many of us can thanks to the popularity of the internet and emails in today’s age.

This is a great way to make money online for any reason, but especially useful if you just want a few quick bucks to register a domain name or setup an advertising campaign.

Speaking of registering a new domain name, Answernode Webmaster Forums (link above) has just posted a new set of discount coupon codes for GoDaddy valid in November and December this year, so it is well worth checking out. (You don’t even have to sign up to browse them!)

Just remember, even if you’re broke you can still make enough money online to start up a new project!

If you want to work from home and make money online but don’t have a website there are still plenty things you can do that wont cost you a single cent.

I’m going to list just a few of the ways you can start making money online tonight, or at least over the course of the next week, without needing your own website or any knowledge of HTML.

1. Get An Auto Blog

Auto blogs are one of the easiest ways to make money online for beginners; you don’t need a website because you can just sign up for a free blog at Blogger – if you haven’t experimented with one, or several, auto blogs yet, then now is a good time to start – just set one up and whack AdSense on there. (If you don’t know how to create an auto blog there is a $5 guide available from Games To Money.)

2. Sign Up For a GPT or PTC Site

There are a lot of decent GPT and PTC websites out there, although before signing up for any you should know that GPT will always pay more than PTC, as well as paying out more reliably in general. At the end of October GPT HQ is launching, and I would encourage everyone to sign up for it – however until then you can find plenty of other sites to try out using Google. All you have to do is click links, fill out surveys and complete free offers and you will get paid to do so – it is a good way to make a few extra dollars, especially when you are looking for money for your first real website.

3. Ebay

Using a drop shipping company and selling the products on Ebay can be a great way to make money online. The first time I did it, I sold a discount TV via a drop shipping company and made around $70 profit – so not too bad. There is a lot of competition, so it is best to find a small drop shipping website that not everyone is already using it.

4. Provide Content

Head over to Answernode Webmaster Forums and post in the content creation section – you can offer writing services, logo creation services, banner creation services and more – you will need to sign up, but it doesn’t cost you anything and it a good way to find work.

I make up to $300 from affiliate marketing on auto pilot some days; I just don’t do it here – the reason is that this blog is honestly meant to help people, such as yourself, learn how to make money online. I don’t want to sell you anything and I don’t want this blog getting a reputation for being another affiliate website posing as a legitimate service. I keep my money making websites far away from this site because I’m not selling anything here, I’m just out to share what I know.

Yes it is possible to work from home and be successful, and make money online to the point you do not need a normal job. This is all I do; in fact I have never had a “normal job” in all my life. Every cent that I have ever earned has been on the internet – so I know it’s possible. You just have to sink your teeth into it, bite down hard, and refuse to let go until you are successful. Persistence pays off – if you aren’t making any money online at all, I would recommend reading through some of the articles on this site and finding a free way to make money online and get cracking!

I get asked this all the time. I first made money online through a GPT and PTC website, I forget the name but it closed down a long time ago. I made $30, then I moved on to writing articles, where I averaged around $150 on a slow week, or up to $600 on a good week. Then I started at affiliate marketing, where I made $890 in three days and decided it was how I wanted to make money online.

Now I do a whole host of different things, which you can read about in various articles on the blog, as well as in future posts. If you haven’t made any money online yet consider trying GPTHQ – they launch at the end of this month and look a lot more promising than the GPT / PTC website I started out on.

eBook Money

A lot of people overlook how much money an ebook tailored to a small audience can make with very little effort on your part to market it.

It probably wont make you rich, (although it has the potential to,) but if you write well and create a good product, then sell it for a reasonable price, you can definitely make $100 or so a month with it.

Take these ebooks for example;

They also have a guide on treating thrush and another on using eBay to earn money online; but all the ebooks listed above have some things in common. Let’s assess those now;

1. They all cost a reasonable amount (in this case between $5 and $10); you aren’t being charged $90 for something that only took someone a day to write.

2. None of them offer impossible things, such as $5000 a day, a way to hack the popular site Neopets, etc.

3. They all give you very clear, honest descriptions about who they were written for and how they can help.

4. The price is not hidden away, there is no pretend discount.

The basic contents of the page should flow like this:

- A greeting.

(Would you like it if a shopkeeper completely ignored you?)

- A description.

(Who would find your product most useful and what does it offer them?)

- A price.

(How much would you pay for your own book? Half that, and you know you are on the right track.)

To promote your ebook Yahoo Answers, forums related to the subject and blog comments are all good and free. Just remember; never spam, never copy and paste – you only want to put your link where it is appropriate and useful.

I understand that this is a bit overwhelming for first timers – the first ebook I ever wrote took me many more hours than it should have, simply because I had no idea what to do or how to write an ebook – I didn’t even know how to make a PDF.

Do you? If you are on a Mac and have Word you click “file”, “print” then there’s a button for “save as PDF” – easy.

Everyone else, (Windows, Linux and Mac without Word,) can download a great program for free called Open Office – if you are on a Mac you may need to install X11, (don’t worry, you do have it, it’s on one of your install disks,) but that’s it – you are good to go.

On that note, I am now going to teach you how to write your own ebook.

Picking a subject:
You should pick a subject that you know a lot about, or at least one you feel you could research thoroughly without losing interest.
It should be something targeted at very specific people at first, such as “How to make a piñata”, “How to complete _____”, (that would be the name of a video game,) or “How to take great photographs”.
If you wanted to and had an area of real expertise you could even write something as specific as; “How to throw your dog an awesome birthday party” or “How to set up your computer’s mail program.”
Do not focus on how big or small your market will be – any given subject has people looking for it daily – there might only be 1000 people who search for a piñata ebook on a single day, but if only one buys your book you are successful already.

Writing and Content:
When you first start to write you may feel a little overwhelmed by he empty page in front of you – that’s ok.
You want to use this first page to write a note to those who have bought your ebook, a thank you, and if you feel it suits the book, a table of contents.
You should where possible include images to go with your instructions; people like images – they pretty up a page and they fill things out nicely.
After an introduction, put in all of your information, step by steps, resources, etc. This is the bulk of your book.
Then you want to include any extra advice or added “tips and tricks” that have helped you, relating to your subject.
Lastly, close with a personal touch and a message of good wishes.

After you’ve done this, you obviously need to market it – I have a post here explaining how you can do this for free; although naturally Adwords is worth using if you have a credit/debit card and can create a good campaign.

It is not hard to write an ebook if you are passionate about the subject and are able to set aside a day or two to put your head down.

Just keep in mind that after selling your first one, you are technically a “professional author”. (How cool is that?)

Generally you can find site owners looking for article rewriters lurking around in Webmaster forums, such as Digital Point or Answernode, and posting in threads titled things like “WTH Article Rewriter.”

When you rewrite an article you basically read through a few paragraphs, rewrite them in your own words, then make sure it looks like a complete different piece to the one you are working from.

If you don’t put any effort in and copy and paste entire sentences then it wont pass Copyscape, a website used to find plagiarism online, and you will not be paid.

A good article rewriter knows how to say the same thing in many different ways.
For example;
“Mix the eggs and flour together” could be rewritten as;
“Using a wooden spoon mix until the flour and egg are entirely blended together.”
Or;
“Stir until the eggs and flour are thoroughly mixed.”

Just make sure you don’t fall into the trap of stretching it out too much – you need to make it your own, but don’t take three lines where you only need one.

Also avoid using any words that have affiliations with particular groups of cultures, such as “schlep” (Jewish) or “true blue”. (Australian.)
You want to talk like the reader – because if the readers like the article the person who hired you will likely want you to do more work.

With a good reputation a decent rewriter can earn the same amount of money as a business professional when it comes to money per hour.

Just be polite, professional and make sure if you are posting in forums you use proper English – no one is going to hire a writer who uses ‘net speak.

Making money online with article rewriting is a great way to start; there are always people looking to hire, and you don’t have to pay a cent to make money. (Unlike all the scams floating around these days.)

Being able to write articles for money is something anyone can do; if you get good enough you might even want to write an ebook – which is a lot of work but can help you learn to make money online, because you will pick up valuable skills throughout the process.
